About Us

Rocky Top Rescue was founded in January of 2023. We are a family and volunteer run sanctuary located in the mountains of East Tennessee. Our mission is to rescue and provide sanctuary for animals that are unwanted, neglected or abused. RTR is a small sanctuary that continues to work toward a big impact in both our local community and beyond.

In addition to providing a forever safe space to the animals in sanctuary that call Rocky Top Rescue home, we also help to rehome and place animals in need as the call for help arises. When possible, we assist with emergency rescues and fosters in order to help animals who need immediate assistance, veterinary attention and care, as well as placement into new homes.
