About Rocky Top Rescue
Rocky Top Rescue was founded in January of 2023. We are a family and volunteer run sanctuary located in the mountains of East Tennessee. Our mission is to rescue and provide sanctuary for animals that are unwanted, neglected or abused. RTR is a small sanctuary that continues to work toward a big impact in both our local community and beyond.

In addition to providing a forever safe space to the animals in sanctuary that call Rocky Top Rescue home, we also help to rehome and place animals in need as the call for help arises. When possible, we assist with emergency rescues and fosters in order to help animals who need immediate assistance, veterinary attention and care, as well as placement into new homes. Meet The Animals
Rocky Top Rescue is currently home to equines, dogs, cows and feral cats. Rescue efforts beyond the RTR sanctuary also focus on these species as well as other farm animals. RTR is proud to offer sanctuary to its residents and has a philosophy that values QUALITY of care over the QUANTITY of intake.
It is our goal that each animal at the sanctuary will maintain a sponsor for their care. Partial or full sponsors get access to behind the scenes information and updates about the animal that they choose to support. Additionally, sponsors receive a formal certificate of sponsorship, photos, stickers and cards from their sponsored animal as well as some additional merchandise to celebrate their sponsorship.

We are always looking to add members to our volunteer team that are passionate about helping animals. Volunteering can include both working with animals, facilities and maintenance or other areas of interest such as photography, fundraiser planning, social media and more.
